Our History

CEO/Founder, Eric Salzwedel is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a degree in Human Services Leadership. His passion of helping others has been recognized on a city, state, national, and international level. Eric promotes what he does with the intention of inspiring others to do the same personally, within one’s family, and within one’s business.

Eric spent several years in Marketing & Sales through college and after he graduated. He was a Branch Manager for a Marketing Firm in 2009 and 2010. After graduating, Eric was promoted to District Manager in 2011. Eric implemented his degree in Human Services Leadership and passion of helping others in his business. Eric's mission was to create a culture of “Giving” within his company and those who worked with him.

In 2012, Eric was awarded the company’s highest honor across the U.S. and Canada for his community service efforts and passion of helping others inside and outside of the company. The Marty Domitrovich Triple Crown of Service is awarded to one of the company’s most esteemed leaders – an individual showing excellence in their contributions to his/her community.

In 2013, Eric left his For-Profit position to move into the Nonprofit sector where he has been up until launching Intentional Purpose Consulting in 2020.

Over the last 10 years, Eric has been on the side of doing the “asks” for donations for charitable purposes and prior to that was used to being asked. Whether it is a sponsorship or a raffle item, Eric is very familiar with it.

In 2017, a conversation with the General Manager of a very popular restaurant expressed his concern with Eric on the overwhelming donation requests via email, people stopping in, and calling that he receives weekly. From there it has been a spiral of examples from several other businesses and how they handle their donation requests that Eric decided to officially launch Intentional Purpose Consulting, LLC to work with companies, organizations, and even individuals to help them with their charitable efforts and community outreach.
